Oliver Tom Franks (2000) is a Dutch-British pianist, living in Sweden.

Born in Utrecht, The Netherlands, he was educated as a teenager at the specialist Purcell School of Music in London. He subsequently went on to combine his musical life with studies in Arabic and Classics in Oxford, spending time in Tunisia and Lebanon.

In 2022, he left university in order to devote himself entirely to his work. He has since given concerts in The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland, being praised by media as “a young pianist not to be missed” after his French début.

He leads an active life as both a solo pianist and chamber musician, especially as a member of the STELIA Trio, founded together with violinist Stefan Enemærke Becker and cellist Teresa Spogis.

Oliver lives in the Swedish countryside where he enjoys the surrounding forest, tending to his garden and walking with his wife, Margot. He receives occasional mentoring from professor Jianing Kong (Royal College of Music, London), and has enjoyed guidance from Kathryn Stott, Avedis Kouyoumdjian and Frank Peters.
